Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or 10 years in a customs trade compliance position
- current customs broker license with U.S. Customs and Border Protection
- in depth knowledge of international trade regulations customs laws and import export procedures
- familiarity with FTZ free trade agreements in transit cargo etc.
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
Job Qualifications

- master’s degree preferred
- 2 years of staff management leadership experience preferred
- in depth knowledge of international trade regulations customs laws and import export procedures
- familiarity with FTZ free trade agreements in transit cargo etc.
- ability to scale team and realize productivity gains
- knowledge of rolling out of new systems
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
Job Duties
- Manage customs brokerage team including hiring training and supervising staff
- provide proper guidance to internal teams external agents and customers for new trade compliance regulations and update on laws and regulations
- implement best work processes to support Landstar agents and customers
- oversee external broker operations for outsource processes
- evaluate external customs brokers for pricing operations compliance
- conduct regular audits of Landstar internal process to ensure compliance and adherence to laws and regulations
- provide regular KPI monitoring to ensure customer satisfaction
- work with Landstar agents to develop new customers
