Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Five or more years culinary experience in hospitality
- Food handlers permit as required
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to resolve customer and employee issues
- Ability to meet company motor vehicle policy standards
- Willingness to drive company or personal vehicles as required

Job Duties
- Manage and supervise all Culinary Services staff including scheduling, assignment, direction, performance reviews, hiring, and corrective actions
- Meet regularly with residents and family members to maintain high satisfaction levels
- Collaborate with restaurant managers to create a restaurant-style dining atmosphere and high customer service standards
- Ensure front and back of house staff cooperation to exceed food product expectations
- Assist kitchen and restaurant staff with operations, capable of working all kitchen and dining stations
- Maintain customer satisfaction and quality enhancement scores through collaboration with Executive Director and staff
- Delegate tasks to maintain cleanliness and quality in kitchen and restaurant areas
- Ensure food preparation, storage, and service comply with company and health code standards
- Maintain employee satisfaction scores at or above designated levels
- Conduct interviews and hire culinary department staff
- Hold monthly department meetings and in-services
- Manage monthly and annual culinary department budgets with written documentation on spending
- Plan menus and recipes based on resident preferences and budget constraints
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of kitchen equipment
- Maintain appropriate inventory of kitchen supplies and tableware
- Uphold purchasing standards and maintain strong vendor relationships
- Plan and execute Engage Life events, special events, banquets, and themed meals
- Collaborate with Community Sales Director to market community culinary offerings through events
- Ensure staff understanding of company expectations and first impression standards
- Perform other duties as assigned or requested
