Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum five years of culinary experience in the hospitality industry
  • Food handlers permit as required by state law or company standards
  • Valid driver's license
  • Compliance with company motor vehicle policy standards
  • Basic computer skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Ability to resolve problems of dissatisfied customers or employees
  • Willingness to perform driving responsibilities as needed

Job Duties

  • Manage and supervise culinary services staff including scheduling, hiring, performance review, and corrective action
  • Meet regularly with residents and family members to ensure high satisfaction levels
  • Collaborate with restaurant manager to deliver high levels of customer service and a restaurant-style dining atmosphere
  • Coordinate front of house and back of house staff to exceed food quality expectations
  • Assist kitchen and restaurant staff with operations and work all stations as needed
  • Maintain customer satisfaction and quality enhancement scores
  • Delegate tasks to ensure cleanliness and quality standards
  • Ensure food is prepared, stored, and served according to company standards and health codes
  • Maintain employee satisfaction scores
  • Interview and hire culinary services staff
  • Conduct and participate in department meetings and in-services
  • Manage monthly and annual budgets for culinary services
  • Plan and develop recipes and menus based on resident preferences
  • Maintain equipment properly
  • Manage inventory of kitchen supplies and tableware
  • Ensure purchasing standards and maintain vendor relationships
  • Plan and execute special events, banquets, and theme meals
  • Collaborate with community sales director to market the community through food events
  • Ensure staff adherence to company expectations and first impression standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned
