Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Five or more years of culinary experience
- Food handler’s permit
- Basic computer skills
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to work all kitchen and dining stations
- Strong organizational skills
Job Qualifications
- Five or more years of culinary experience in the hospitality industry
- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to resolve problems involving dissatisfied customers or employees
- Food handler’s permit as required by state law or company standards
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Valid driver’s license
- Must meet company motor vehicle policy standards
Job Duties
- Manage and supervise all Culinary Services staff including scheduling, assignments, performance reviews, hiring, and corrective actions
- Meet regularly with residents and family members to maintain high satisfaction levels
- Collaborate with restaurant managers to provide excellent customer service and create a restaurant-style dining atmosphere
- Ensure front-of-house and back-of-house staff work cohesively to deliver high-quality food products
- Assist kitchen and restaurant staff with operations as needed, including working all kitchen and dining stations
- Work with Executive Director and frontline staff to maintain customer satisfaction and quality levels
- Delegate tasks to maintain cleanliness and quality standards in kitchen and dining areas
- Ensure food is prepared, stored, and served according to company standards and health regulations
- Maintain employee satisfaction scores
- Interview and hire Culinary Services department staff
- Conduct and participate in monthly department meetings and in-services
- Manage monthly and annual culinary department budgets and produce documentation of expenses
- Plan and develop recipes and menus based on resident feedback and budget considerations
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of kitchen equipment
- Manage inventory of kitchen supplies and tableware
- Maintain vendor relationships and purchasing standards
- Plan, prepare, and execute special events, banquets, and themed meals
- Collaborate with sales director and staff to market the community through culinary events
- Ensure staff adherence to company standards and first impression requirements
- Perform other duties as assigned or requested
