Job Requirements
- Five or more years culinary experience in the hospitality industry
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Able to resolve problems of dissatisfied customers and employees
- Food handlers permit as required by state law and/or company standards
- Basic computer skills – Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Position may require driving responsibilities using company vehicle and/or personal vehicle
- Must possess valid driver’s license
- Must meet and comply with company motor vehicle policy standards

- Valid driver’s license and compliance with company motor vehicle policy
Job Duties
- Manage and supervise culinary services staff including scheduling, assignments, hiring, performance reviews, and corrective actions
- Meet regularly with residents and family members to ensure high satisfaction levels
- Collaborate with restaurant manager to create a restaurant-style dining atmosphere
- Ensure front-of-house and back-of-house teams work closely to exceed food quality expectations
- Assist kitchen and restaurant staff with operations across all stations as needed
- Maintain department customer satisfaction and quality enhancement scores
- Delegate tasks effectively to maintain cleanliness and quality standards
- Ensure food preparation, storage, and service comply with company standards and health codes
- Maintain employee satisfaction scores at or above designated levels
- Interview and hire culinary staff
- Conduct monthly department meetings and in-services
- Manage monthly and annual budgets for food, supplies, and labor, including documentation
- Plan and develop menus and recipes based on resident preferences and budget
- Maintain proper use and maintenance of equipment
- Oversee inventory of kitchen supplies, small wares, and tableware
- Ensure purchasing standards and vendor relationships are maintained
- Plan and execute special events, banquets, and themed meals
- Collaborate with sales and community staff on marketing initiatives like "Taste of Atria" roadshows
- Ensure staff understand company expectations and first impression requirements
- Perform other duties as assigned or requested
