Job Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Five or more years of culinary experience in the hospitality industry
- Food handlers permit as required by state law or company standards
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Valid driver's license
- Compliance with company motor vehicle policy standards
- Ability to resolve problems of dissatisfied customers and employees
- Strong organization and time management skills

Job Duties
- Manage and supervise Culinary Services staff including scheduling, assignment, direction, performance reviews, hiring, and corrective actions
- Meet regularly with residents and family members to maintain high satisfaction levels
- Collaborate with restaurant manager to provide high levels of customer service and create a restaurant-style dining atmosphere
- Ensure front and back of house staff work closely to exceed food product expectations
- Assist kitchen and restaurant staff with operations and work all stations if needed
- Maintain customer satisfaction and quality enhancement levels through teamwork with Executive Director and staff
- Delegate tasks to maintain kitchen and restaurant cleanliness and quality
- Ensure food preparation, storage, and service comply with company and health code standards
- Maintain employee satisfaction scores
- Interview and hire culinary department staff
- Conduct monthly department meetings and in-services
- Understand and manage monthly and annual culinary department budgets including food, supplies, and labor costs
- Develop recipes and menus based on resident preferences and budgets
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of equipment
- Maintain inventory of kitchen supplies and tableware
- Oversee purchasing standards and vendor relationships
- Plan and execute Engage Life events, special events, banquets, and theme meals
- Collaborate with Community Sales Director to market the community via road shows and signature items
- Ensure staff adherence to company expectations and first impression standards
- Perform other duties as assigned or requested
