Job Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Five or more years culinary experience in the hospitality industry
- Food handlers permit as required by state law and company standards
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Must satisfactorily meet company motor vehicle policy standards
- Ability to resolve problems of dissatisfied customers and employees
- Position may require driving responsibilities using company or personal vehicle

Job Duties
- Manages and supervises culinary staff including scheduling, performance review, hiring, and corrective action
- Meets regularly with residents and family members to maintain satisfaction
- Works with restaurant manager/coordinator to ensure high levels of customer service and restaurant style dining atmosphere
- Confirms collaboration between front and back of house staff to exceed food quality expectations
- Assists kitchen and restaurant staff with operations as needed across all stations
- Maintains customer satisfaction and quality enhancement scores with executive director
- Delegates tasks to maintain cleanliness and quality in kitchen and restaurant areas
- Ensures food preparation, storage, and service comply with company and health standards
- Maintains employee satisfaction scores
- Interviews and hires culinary services staff
- Conducts and participates in monthly department meetings and in-services
- Manages budgets including documentation of monthly spend on food, supplies, and labor
- Develops recipes and menus based on resident preferences and budgets
- Ensures proper use and maintenance of kitchen equipment
- Maintains inventory of kitchen supplies and tableware
- Oversees purchasing standards and vendor relationships
- Plans and executes Engage Life events, special events, banquets, and theme meals
- Collaborates with community sales director on marketing initiatives
- Ensures staff understand company expectations and first impression standards
- Performs other duties as assigned or requested
