Job Requirements

  • MBA or other relevant master’s degree required
  • 10+ years of experience in corporate strategy, management consulting, or strategic planning
  • Experience within consumer packaged goods or food and beverage preferred
  • Proven leadership in team management and senior executive influence
  • Ability to perform physical and mental job demands

Job Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in corporate strategy, management consulting, or strategic planning
  • Experience in consumer packaged goods or food and beverage industry preferred
  • Proven leadership experience managing teams
  • Ability to influence senior executives in matrixed organizations
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated strategic and commercial acumen

Job Duties

  • Lead the development of the 3-5 year strategic plan for the U.S. business aligning with global corporate strategy
  • Partner with global strategy, regional leadership, and functional teams for strategic alignment
  • Support annual operating and long-range planning including scenario planning and presentations
  • Define and evolve portfolio strategy across product categories and brands
  • Evaluate portfolio optimization opportunities including innovation prioritization, brand expansion, M&A partnerships and divestitures
  • Lead internal consulting engagements focused on commercial, brand, and channel strategy
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Customers Team, Revenue Growth Management, and Finance to shape go to market models and channel initiatives
  • Deliver actionable recommendations supported by analysis, financial modeling, and consumer insights
  • Lead ongoing trend assessment across consumer behavior, health and wellness, sustainability, technology, and regulatory landscapes
  • Identify and prioritize new growth opportunities including new markets, categories, business models, or adjacencies
  • Establish and maintain competitive intelligence capability tracking competitor strategies and market trends
  • Synthesize competitive insights into implications for portfolio strategy and brand positioning
  • Provide strategic perspectives and decision support to senior leadership
  • Prepare and present strategic analyses and recommendations to executive leadership
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of strategy associates
  • Establish clear objectives and foster a high performance team culture
  • Build organizational strategic capability through mentorship and best practices
