Job Duties

  • Lead the strategic development and management of multiple complex budgets and financial forecasts for the Collins College of Hospitality Management
  • Create detailed financial reports assessing alignment with the college’s vision and strategic goals
  • Develop and manage financial compliance reports for accreditation bodies such as ACPHA and WASC
  • Evaluate financial reports from University Foundations and advise on fund allocation
  • Collaborate with the Dean on financial strategy development and state funding alignment
  • Lead communication and advocacy for resource needs with stakeholders including the Board of Advisors
  • Evaluate and process budget requests and oversee project documentation for capital projects
  • Manage faculty contract decisions in consultation with academic personnel leadership
  • Collaborate on faculty workload, hires, leaves, and sabbatical administration
  • Oversee recruitment processes for faculty, staff, foundation employees, and student assistants ensuring compliance and optimization
  • Lead preparation and monitoring of payroll, contracts, grants, and faculty financial matters
  • Manage travel and equipment expenditures ensuring policy compliance
  • Coordinate and improve college operational workflows and business processes
  • Communicate new policies and directives to staff and management
  • Advise on information system enhancement proposals
  • Serve on the College Budget Committee and as a technical advisor to executives and management
