Job Requirements

  • 4 plus years of event planning experience
  • Bachelor's degree in event management, marketing, or related field
  • Proven success in planning and executing large-scale events
  • In-depth knowledge of event logistics and project management
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage and lead teams effectively
  • Proficiency with event management software
  • Understanding of event marketing and promotion strategies

Job Qualifications

  • 4 plus years of event planning experience with demonstrated success planning and executing large-scale events
  • Bachelor's degree in event management, marketing, or related field
  • Deep knowledge of event planning logistics, budget management, and project management
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and team management skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Proficiency in event management software such as Cvent, Eventbrite, Salesforce
  • Familiarity with event marketing and promotion tactics such as social media and email marketing

Job Duties

  • Direct day-to-day floor operations of technicians including set and strike and scheduling
  • Delegate tasks appropriately
  • Manage an efficient and profitable AV and Business Center operation
  • Focus on revenue maximization and cost control in accordance with company standard operating procedures
  • Manage onsite inventory according to company standards
  • Maintain and cultivate positive public relations with the Hotel account
  • Maintain positive employee relations
  • Effectively utilize the company's business software
  • Ensure that billing is reviewed and approved by clients
  • Maintain a high level of professional appearance, demeanor, ethics and image of self and company
  • Supervise security, inventory control, transportation and maintenance of equipment
  • Ensure all employees are properly trained in all areas
  • Ensure adaption and implementation of the Experiential Method
  • Provide outstanding customer service by establishing excellent working relationships with internal and external clients, team members, neighboring Five-Star locations and vendors
  • Meet with guests onsite to ensure their needs are met and equipment setup is working properly
  • Portray a polished, professional image according to employee guide and hotel standards and ensure team adherence
  • Supervise and mentor staff to ensure client satisfaction and revenue maximization via onsite perfecting
  • Promote and reinforce a positive working environment centered on Five-Star core values
  • Maintain positive employee relations for all AV and Business Center team members
  • Manage performance, address employee concerns, maintain adequate staffing levels, facilitate team development
  • Lead by example in portraying a professional image
  • Promote and drive professional development and training efforts to improve overall business acumen, technical knowledge, and service
  • Utilize all company computer systems and software programs and ensure technician training
  • Complete standard and as-needed reports accurately and on-time
