Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid RBT certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire or be a Licensed Psychiatric Technician or Qualified Behavior Modification Professional
- Minimum 1 year prior experience providing direct care to individuals with developmental disabilities focusing on behavioral services preferred
- Successful completion of all required trainings
- Must possess a current, valid driver’s license with minimum two years driving experience and acceptable driving record

Job Duties
- Assists and teaches residents self-care, self-administration of medications, and independent living skills including bathing, dressing, feeding, and nail care
- Maintains safety and supervision of residents at all times
- Implements Behavior Plans and Health Care Plans
- Participates as a member of the interdisciplinary team in developing and implementing Individual Service Plans (ISP) and Individual Program Plans (IPP)
- Assists residents with occupational, recreational, vocational, and therapeutic programs
- Maintains a safe, sanitary, and therapeutic environment respecting residents privacy, rights, and dignity
- Engages residents in activities that provide learning opportunities and skills practice
- Provides active supervision during dining, recreational activities, and appointments
- Transports residents to medical, recreational, and other appointments
- Attends staff meetings and training sessions
- Maintains all required trainings and certifications
- Reports and documents behavior, medical concerns, and incidents
- Remains on duty until relieved
- Supports team cooperation and adapts to workload changes
- Assists with health care and behavioral needs
- Completes assigned tasks timely
- Gives feedback to supervisors regarding home operations and resident care
- Responds appropriately to emergencies as directed
- Performs other duties as assigned
