Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Six months of relevant experience preferred
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Car registration and vehicle insurance if providing transportation
  • Completion of all required state training and certification
  • Ability to work scheduled shifts including evenings or nights
  • Ability to perform heavy physical work
  • Willingness to travel as needed
  • Ability to use a personal cell phone for business purposes with stipend provided

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Six months of experience in human services preferred
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing
  • Completion of all state-required training and certification within mandated timeframes
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect individual rights
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally

Job Duties

  • Attends orientation and ongoing training as directed
  • Participates in monthly staff meetings
  • Works scheduled hours, arrives on time, and notifies supervisor if unable to work
  • Provides direct support in accordance with individual service plans
  • Accurately documents progress, activities, and billing information
  • Assists with money management and protects individuals' assets
  • Maintains professional relationships with individuals, families, and case managers
  • Reports any instance of abuse or neglect promptly
  • Administers medications and treatments when assigned
  • Monitors general health and follows healthcare directives
  • Prepares or supports preparation of meals according to dietary plans
  • Performs housekeeping, minor repairs, and reports hazards
  • Drives safely when transporting individuals and reports accidents
  • Participates in safety drills and adheres to safety policies
  • Performs other related duties as required
