Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- age 18 or older
- ability to pass background check
- current driver's license
- auto insurance
- vehicle inspection
- ability to work assigned shifts including rotating schedules, weekends and some holidays
- good physical health to transport up to 30 pounds
- participation in all required training
- adherence to company policies and procedures
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- age at least 23 years
- ability to follow directions, procedures and guidelines for provision of individual program
- strong interpersonal and communication skills
- ability to document incidents accurately
- ability to participate in training and development
- ability to supervise and guide clients
- familiarity with behavior management plans
- valid driver’s license
- auto insurance and vehicle inspection required
Job Duties
- Implement through training individual client's Individual Plan of Care
- implement individual client’s or group Behavior Management Plan where applicable
- supervise self-administration of medication by residents when applicable
- be familiar with Direct Care Staff Persons Checklist and assist in developing and implementing Active Treatment
- participate in intake and individualized plan of care development
- provide individual and group counseling under direction of Program Director or House Manager
- record all accident/incidents occurring on each shift
- inspect living areas for repairs and cleanliness
- adhere to policies and procedures relative to residents including discipline, medical emergencies, safety, and runaway/elopements
- supervise all activities, events, and functions
- provide necessary transportation
- restrict inappropriate behaviors and assist in developing alternate appropriate behaviors
- train residents in good personal habits such as grooming, eating, and hygiene
- supervise, participate in, and train residents in cooking, meal planning, shopping, and household maintenance
- encourage participation in recreational, social skills, and development activities
- transport up to 30 pounds
- perform other duties as assigned by Program Director, House Manager or designee
