Job Requirements

  • Document three years of full-time general work experience providing knowledge of electronics, mathematics, computers, aeronautics or related areas
  • Provide examples of detailed work experience related to ATSS systems on the resume
  • Provide documentation of a 4-year bachelor’s degree or at least 24 semester hours in relevant fields
  • Submit transcripts showing institution name, credit hours, and graduation date if qualifying based on education
  • Be capable of applying electronics and electro-mechanical theory to troubleshoot and repair NAS equipment and systems
  • Demonstrate knowledge and skills in using electronic test equipment
  • Submit resume supporting all claimed work experience and educational qualifications

Job Qualifications

  • Three years of general work experience providing knowledge in electronics, mathematics, computers, aeronautics or related areas
  • One year of specialized experience applying knowledge of electronics and electricity concepts, computer systems, and telecommunications related to ATSS systems and services
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, electronics, physical sciences, information management, engineering, telecommunications or related field
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience totaling at least 100% to qualify
  • Extensive knowledge of basic electricity and electronic theory
  • Ability to use tools, materials, and specialized test equipment for maintenance and repair
  • Experience with repair, installation, maintenance and certification of communication, navigational aids, automation, radar, and environmental systems

Job Duties

  • Install, evaluate, maintain, modify and certify communication, navigational, automation, radar and environmental systems
  • Troubleshoot and repair electronic and electro-mechanical systems
  • Use electronic test equipment to diagnose equipment malfunctions
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
  • Perform routine and emergency maintenance to ensure system reliability
  • Document maintenance activities and ensure compliance with regulations
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to optimize system performance
