Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience
  • Proven leadership experience for five years or more
  • Direct foodservice operational management experience for two to four years
  • Knowledge of inventory and purchasing control
  • Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and quality standards
  • Ability to manage budgets and operate within financial guidelines
  • Excellent interpersonal and client relationship skills

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of additional experience
  • Minimum of five years of proven leadership expertise
  • Two to four years of direct foodservice operational management experience with inventory and purchasing knowledge and control
  • Strong knowledge of food and catering trends focusing on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
  • Knowledge of profit and loss accountability and contract-managed service experience is desirable
  • ServSafe certification is a plus
  • Must be forward thinking, proactive, and the face of the company

Job Duties

  • Operate the department in accordance with the approved budget while providing maximum value for dollars spent
  • Ensure the food offered is of superior quality
  • Direct and conduct safety, sanitation, and maintenance programs
  • Maintain excellent relationships with guests, clients, and other departments within the community
  • Promote professional growth and development of the entire team
  • Foster strong inter-departmental relations and integrate the dining service department with the facility plan of operations
