Churchill Downs Racetrack, located in Louisville, Kentucky, is one of the most iconic and historic properties in the world of horse racing. Known globally as the home of The Kentucky Derby, the longest continually held annual sporting event in the United States since 1875, Churchill Downs is a celebrated entertainment and sporting venue. Job Requirements
- 3-4 years of experience with ticket operations
- Experience with Ticketmaster Hosted Archtics necessary
- Creative and enthusiastic with excellent interpersonal skills
- Available to work race days and special events
- Possess a willingness to work long hours, evenings, weekends and holidays
- People oriented, able to multi-task, be organized, motivated and detail focused
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other related software and open to learning new technologies
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, co-workers and the general public
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to interpret directions and technical diagrams
- Ability to show discretion when making recommendations
- Ability to resolve ticketing issues remotely
- Ability to use computer, printer, calculator, copy and scanning machine, telephone, and software packages
- Ability to lift up to 10 pounds
- Willingness to travel occasionally to other properties outside Louisville
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Minimum 3-4 years experience in ticket operations
- Experience with Ticketmaster Hosted Archtics
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related software
- Willingness to work long hours, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to travel occasionally
- Experience in training and supporting staff
- Ability to analyze data and generate reports
- Knowledge of access control systems and digital ticketing platforms
Job Duties
- Oversee the implementation and onboarding of Ticketmaster applications at CDI Gaming properties
- Administer the building of events, ticket types, offers, and other system needs
- Monitor daily operations and functionality of the ticketing system
- Set up and review inventory of events and distribute and manage holds
- Ensure ticketing system and digital interfaces meet necessary restrictions
- Manage ticket templates and invoicing processes
- Oversee bulk invoicing and online payment processes
- Create and distribute ticketing reports
- Complete seasonal resale setup and manage event settings
- Oversee ticketing websites and applications
- Oversee access control systems and related equipment configurations
- Manage customer and event data requests
- Act as liaison between CDI Gaming properties and Ticketmaster
- Manage user permissions for ticketing applications
- Maintain support relationships with Ticketmaster
- Ensure proper equipment is ordered and functional at venues
- Develop and implement companywide standard policies
- Oversee team travel for onsite support and training
- Provide on-call support for events
- Serve as Subject Matter Expert for Ticket Operations applications
- Develop internal and external educational materials
- Support troubleshooting of hardware, software, and integrations
- Educate venues on software and hardware usage
- Assist venues and promoters with event planning and ticketing procedures
- Identify opportunities to increase sales and revenue at properties
- Perform other duties as assigned
