Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years food service experience
  • Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience
  • Serv-Safe certification
  • Ability to read, speak and write English
  • Must be able to perform moderate physical labor including lifting up to 25 pounds
  • Must be self-motivated and flexible
  • Patience and understanding when dealing with residents and employees
  • Professional appearance and attitude

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years food service experience
  • Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Serv-Safe certification
  • Ability to use a computer
  • Ability to communicate professionally and respectfully with co-workers and other departments
  • Ability to provide clear directions and respond accordingly to employees
  • Maintains a professional relationship with all coworkers, vendor representatives, supervisors, managers, customers and client representatives

Job Duties

  • Understands, follows and enforces all policies and procedures
  • Understands diet orders in regard to Springmoor’s policies and resident’s rights
  • Performs day-to-day assignments in addition to oversight duties
  • Monitors employee productivity and provides directions for increased service or productivity
  • Responsible for the oversight of day-to-day activities of subordinates and assigns responsibility for specific work or functional activities as directed by on-site management
  • Holds subordinates accountable for set expectations
  • Responsible for orientation and training of new employees
  • Meets with customers to ensure satisfaction in food quality and service
  • Attends all meetings and trainings provided by Sodexo management and Springmoor
  • Promotes the development of the food service team
  • Assists in ensuring a safe working environment throughout the facility for all employees
  • Complies with all Sodexo HACCP policies and procedures
  • Complies with all state regulations
  • Reports all accidents and injuries in a timely manner
  • Complies with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities wherever needed within the dining service department
