Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification in ServSafe every 3 years
- Previous supervisory experience or training preferred
- Strong communication skills
- Proficiency in computer applications such as MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Ability to read and interpret safety and operating instructions
- Ability to write reports and communicate effectively
- Ability to handle problem-solving in standardized situations

- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and speak effectively with customers and associates
- Proficiency in using computer-based systems, including MS applications like Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and creating menus on software systems
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions and handle problems with a few concrete variables in standardized situations
Job Duties
- Recruit, interview, hire, and train waitstaff
- Promote employee skill development through on-the-job training and quarterly seminars
- Greet residents in the dining room and ensure all residents are properly taken care of
- Maintain the appearance of the dining room and request repairs or upkeep as needed
- Work with residents and staff to plan parties, bill parties that occur in the dining room, and communicate food-related concerns to the Chef
- Attend weekly supervisor and catering meetings, monthly food committee meetings, and resident assessment meetings
- Plan promotional events for holidays and work on special projects with the Dining Room and Catering Director
