Job Requirements
- Understand and act in accordance with IDEXX mission and values focusing on quality and customer service
- demonstrate ability to work independently and as a team contributor
- ability to work minimal supervision and make independent decisions
- previous food service or hospitality experience preferred
- strong customer service and communication skills
- availability to work the 1st shift (5:30 AM - 2 PM Monday through Friday)
- willingness to cross-train in other work centers
- commitment to maintaining a safe and clean working environment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in food service, hospitality, or cashiering preferred
- strong customer service and communication skills
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- strong teamwork abilities
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- willingness to obtain Serve-Safe certification
- ability to maintain quality and safety standards in food preparation
Job Duties
- Operate the coffee station and registers daily
- order coffee supplies such as cups, lids, and related items
- train and perform cashier duties ensuring smooth customer flow
- prepare and serve food as directed by team lead or head chef
- stock and restock inventory shelves for resale
- clean and maintain cafe equipment and machinery
- wash dishes as needed
- track workstation supplies and report reorder needs
- maintain positive customer service and professional relations with customers and team members
- ensure a safe working environment and use appropriate safety equipment
- maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
- utilize proper processes to maintain product quality
- assist in inventory and cost reduction initiatives
- cross-train in other work centers
- pursue Serve-Safe certification and pass the exam if possible
