Job Requirements

  • bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • two years experience in office administration or human resources functions such as recruitment, onboarding, training, or other HR administration areas
  • three years experience supervising or leading the work of others
  • ability to work effectively with diverse faculty, staff, administrators, and students
  • ability to communicate with respect, concern, and responsiveness
  • ability to work independently and in teams
  • flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities
  • strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • understanding of employment law applicable to human resources
  • ability to handle competing priorities and work under stress
  • high proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • commitment to social justice and inclusion
  • ability to maintain effective and collaborative working relationships

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • lead hiring team to recruit, interview, onboard, and train student dining service employees
  • develop ongoing training programs and leadership opportunities for staff growth
  • assess staffing needs and budgets for multiple campus dining venues
  • develop and implement recruiting plans to maintain adequate staffing
  • manage classified dining staff assignments and track recruiting needs
  • provide consultation to dining management on department coordination
  • resolve operational and staffing issues proactively to maintain efficiency
