Job Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent
  • One year experience in nursing home, hospital, or hospitality setting preferred
  • Food service experience preferred
  • Serve-safe certification within six months of employment
  • Able to stand or walk short distances for long periods regularly
  • Able to lift, push, and pull 50 lbs independently and over 50 lbs with assistance
  • Able to work in varying temperatures
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and reach at different angles
  • Ability to operate equipment and demonstrate necessary dexterity
  • Able to work in confined spaces
  • Work courteously and effectively with residents, families, and the public

Job Qualifications

  • High school education or equivalent
  • Strong English and math skills
  • One year experience in nursing home, hospital, or hospitality setting preferred
  • Food service experience preferred
  • Serve-safe certification within six months of employment

Job Duties

  • Provide meals and nourishment to residents
  • Maintain nursing care pantries according to set guidelines
  • Follow proper sanitation procedures in all food service aspects
  • Serve meals in a dining room setting
  • Prepare meal trays
  • Wash dishes
  • Set up tray-lines
