Job Requirements

  • three years of full-time experience as a manager, chef, or sous chef in a large-scale commercial food services operation
  • three years of experience supervising or leading the work of others, including assigning, evaluating, and disciplinary actions
  • ability to obtain a Food Handler Permit and OLCC Service Permit
  • willingness to work varying schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to work in typical food service conditions such as standing for long periods, heavy lifting, and working in extreme temperatures

Job Qualifications

  • culinary skills and understanding of commercial kitchen operations
  • experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds
  • ability to prepare reports, budgets, and documents
  • three years of experience supervising or leading others
  • three years of work experience as a manager, chef, or sous chef in large-scale commercial food services

Job Duties

  • manage day-to-day operations of dining venues
  • allocate staff and schedule employees
  • oversee menu planning and food preparation
  • ensure compliance with food safety standards
  • purchase food and supplies within budget
  • supervise classified and student staff
  • maintain excellent customer service and teamwork
