Job Requirements
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent
- ServSafe certification
- meet local and state certification requirements
- minimum three years dietary experience
- healthcare experience preferred
- one year supervisory experience preferred
- ability to manage budgets, schedules, inventory, and orders
- strong leadership and organizational skills
- reliable, friendly, and passionate about senior care
Job Qualifications

- knowledge of local and state food safety regulations
- minimum three years experience in dietary services
- healthcare experience preferred
- at least one year supervisory experience preferred
- experience with budgeting, scheduling, inventory, and food ordering
- certified dietary manager or certified food service manager beneficial
Job Duties
- Oversees daily operations of dining services department including budget, menu, food preparation, labor management, food safety and sanitation, and team leadership
- modifies menus considering resident allergies, dietary needs, and preferences
- provides leadership to dining services team including recruitment, onboarding, training, coaching, performance management, and daily oversight
- manages dining services scheduling including creating monthly schedules and coverage for time off and call offs
- manages food and supply ordering process including inventory management and ensuring sufficient supplies
- inspects food service areas to ensure cleanliness and compliance with food safety regulations
- ensures all team members follow fire safety, infection control, and hazardous chemical protocols
- trains team members on company policies and regulatory requirements
- monitors food quality, presentation, and service
- acts as lead cook during assigned meals
- manages department budget including expense reporting and labor management
- implements dietary changes per PCP Diet Orders
- participates in leadership team meetings and initiatives
- communicates department updates to Executive Director and department heads
- assists in planning and preparing food services for special events
- performs other assigned duties
