Job Duties

  • Check all dining sections and ensure adequate coverage for the day
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff regarding any menu changes
  • Ensure dining room is clean, organized, and properly set up
  • Monitor special events and prepare necessary setups
  • Assist Food Service Director with employee counseling, paperwork, and projects
  • Walk through dining room during service to address residents’ needs and verify order accuracy
  • Supervise and support servers during meal service including pouring coffee and helping lagging staff
  • Communicate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations
  • Monitor servers’ speed and efficiency in order preparation
  • Verify completion of side work and restock condiments during closing duties
  • Review clipboards for upcoming special events and prepare dining room accordingly
  • Excuse servers once their work is complete
  • Oversee food server training program and certified trainers
  • Submit monthly service ware and silverware inventory reports
  • Respond to Red Alerts on weekends and coordinate with front desk personnel
  • Enforce sanitation and safety regulations compliance
  • Conduct monthly training on food safety and dining room policies
  • Assist with placing Sysco orders and updating dining menus on Touch Town
  • Manage servers during setup and service hours and address performance issues
