Job Duties
- Manage daily diner operations with emphasis on customer service
- Schedule staff to ensure continuous coverage during service times
- Supervise all servery positions and provide general oversight of staff
- Ensure departmental and university protocols, standards, rules, and policies are followed
- Drive servery HAACP compliance and maintain cleanliness
- Resolve customer issues and collaborate on customer suggestions
- Lead hiring, training, and development of regular and student staff
- Communicate departmental initiatives and university events to staff
- Participate in venue improvement planning including menu concepts and pricing
- Coordinate with culinary, conference, catering, and purchasing teams
- Motivate staff, cultivate team building, and maintain pleasant environment for guests
- Perform duties safely and report accidents
- Supervise dining service workers including personnel functions
- Manage staff hours, schedules, and performance evaluations
- Enforce policies outlined in the Dining & Conference Services Staff Handbook
