Job Requirements
- Culinary degree or equivalent training
- Minimum 5 years progressively responsible experience in a high-volume, high-end food service environment
- ServeSafe certification
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions
- Excellent English communication skills
- Experience working with elderly in a courteous and friendly manner
- Strong organizational and computer skills
- Ability to maintain integrity and discretion when handling sensitive resident information
Job Qualifications
- Culinary degree or equivalent training
- Technical or professional license or certification
- ServeSafe certified
- Additional certification in restaurant sanitation preferred
- Minimum 5 years experience in high-volume, high-end food service (hotel, resort, senior living)
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Experience working respectfully and compassionately with the elderly
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Knowledge of high-end institutional food service principles including dietetics and sanitation
- Solid technical and creative cooking skills
- Proven ability to lead diverse culinary teams
Job Duties
- Manage and supervise day-to-day culinary services operations
- Maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and associates
- Ensure high-quality dining experiences and resident satisfaction
- Purchase food and manage inventory with cost controls
- Maintain proper food handling, storage, quality, and portion control
- Cater special events and parties for residents
- Implement and monitor kitchen and dining room sanitation and equipment maintenance
- Conduct monthly food committee meetings and maintain records
- Prepare monthly staffing schedules and ensure shift coverage
- Consult with Dietitian on menu planning, care planning, and therapeutic diets
- Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and sanitation policies
- Attend and lead training, meetings, and staff development sessions
- Report and address unsafe conditions, workplace injuries, and equipment problems
