Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or associate degree plus relevant experience
  • Five to seven years of foodservice management experience
  • Knowledge of food, production, sanitation, and cost controls
  • Ability to manage budgets and financial reports
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office
  • ServSafe certification
  • Ability to perform essential job functions

Job Qualifications

  • B.S. degree in Food Services Technology/Management or related field or A.A. degree plus four years of related experience
  • Five to seven years of direct foodservice operational management experience
  • Knowledge of inventory and purchasing control
  • Strong knowledge of food and catering trends
  • Experience with P&L accountability or contract-managed service
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with various levels
  • Financial, budgetary, and accounting skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and other computer programs
  • ServSafe certified

Job Duties

  • Develop and implement overall operating strategy aligned with company and client business strategy
  • Take full ownership of driving desired outcomes and hold leadership accountable
  • Evaluate personnel, operations, and culinary situations and make recommendations
  • Maintain professional and positive demeanor
  • Perform daily compliance walk-throughs
  • Direct safety, sanitation, and maintenance programs
  • Lead communication through pre-meal briefings and staff meetings
  • Advise executives and team on relevant information
  • Understand market dynamics and align actions to business results
  • Recognize and analyze P&L drivers
  • Develop and operate within budget
  • Manage wages, food and beverage costs, and controllable expenses
  • Review financial reports and improve financial performance
  • Build relationships with residents, staff, and departments
  • Review satisfaction results and implement improvements
  • Coach employees for service excellence
  • Introduce new food and beverage products
