Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 3 years experience in dining services management
  • basic knowledge of food service operations and safety
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • strong organizational and problem-solving skills

  • physical ability to perform duties

Job Qualifications

  • experience in assisted living dining services or similar healthcare food service environment
  • culinary management or hospitality degree preferred
  • strong leadership and team management skills
  • knowledge of budgeting and cost control
  • understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • good communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to inspire and develop staff

Job Duties

  • establish and maintain all quality standards in dining services
  • manage staffing levels and food supply inventories within budget guidelines
  • oversee purchasing, receiving, and storage systems
  • ensure proper food preparation and serving techniques
  • enforce pilferage and portion control measures
  • maintain kitchen sanitation and safety standards
  • develop dining services personnel through training and mentorship
  • promote the importance of dining services to residents’ quality of life
