Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Services Technology, Management or related field
  • or associate degree plus four years of related experience
  • five to seven years of foodservice operational management experience
  • ServSafe certification
  • strong leadership and communication skills
  • proficiency in computer programs and Microsoft Office
  • knowledge of HACCP and OSHA guidelines
  • ability to manage multi-unit operations
  • previous budget and P&L management experience
  • customer service orientation
  • ability to meet physical and legal requirements for the role

Job Qualifications

  • B.S. degree in Food Services Technology/Management or related field, or A.A. degree plus four years of directly related experience
  • multi-unit experience preferred
  • culinary experience a plus
  • five to seven years of direct foodservice operational management experience
  • knowledge of inventory and purchasing control
  • strong knowledge of food and catering trends, quality, production, sanitation, and food cost controls
  • P&L accountability or contract-managed service experience desirable
  • strong supervisory, leadership, management and coaching skills
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • ability to communicate at management, client, customer and associate levels
  • excellent financial, budgetary, accounting and computational skills
  • proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office, email and Internet
  • ServSafe certified

Job Duties

  • Manages salaried managers and hourly associates in the Food Service Department
  • leads all aspects of the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the account
  • interviews, hires, and trains associates
  • plans, assigns, and directs work
  • appraises performance
  • addresses complaints and resolves problems
  • prepares and leads annual budget
  • uses company systems for completion of required daily, weekly, monthly reports such as inventory, cash reports, production records, payroll/time-keeping
  • coordinates and participates in the preparation and service of food and beverage items in adherence to company food standards, sanitation and safety guidelines
  • performs other duties as assigned
