- previous experience in a culinary leadership role
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- ability to manage budgets and labor costs
- strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

- previous executive chef, dining services director, food service director, or culinary manager experience
- knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety, and sanitation
- experience managing food and labor budgets
- strong leadership and organizational skills
- senior living, healthcare, or hospitality dining experience
- servsafe certification
- experience with therapeutic or modified diets
Job Duties
- plan, prepare, and oversee high-quality meal service
- ensure resident satisfaction with food quality and presentation
- maintain kitchen sanitation and food safety standards
- manage special diets and menu modifications as needed
- oversee inventory, ordering, and food cost controls
- hire, train, and supervise dining staff
- schedule and manage departmental labor hours
- promote a positive, service-focused dining culture
- provide coaching and performance feedback
- manage food and supply budgets
- control waste, portioning, and purchasing
- ensure efficient kitchen operations
- maintain compliance with health department regulations
- interact regularly with residents and families
- support community events and special dining functions
- promote the importance of dining to overall quality of life
