Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience in dining services management
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food service
  • Ability to lead and train a diverse team
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Strong organizational and communication abilities
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule including any shift

Job Duties

  • Manages food supplies and personnel to ensure operations are performed efficiently within budget and in compliance with health regulations and company policies
  • Manage, schedule, evaluate and direct the kitchen staff
  • Ensure a sanitary dining room complying with all health and safety codes, licensing regulations and proper food handling procedures
  • Supervise and direct the cleaning of all dining and food services areas
  • Develop and implement training, policies and processes to ensure kitchen staff maintain proper grooming, dress and etiquette
  • Survey residents to determine satisfaction levels and make corrections as necessary
  • Assist servers, cooks and dining services associates in their job duties and assume activities when needed
  • Ensure residents are greeted and seated properly and make new residents feel welcome
  • Supervise tracking of resident meal attendance and communicate absences for safety checks
  • Aid in community marketing through positive interactions, dress and behavior
