Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum two years’ experience in kitchen supervision and food service
  • Current ServSafe certification
  • Ability to cook three to four days per week at volume
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and HACCP compliance
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to manage budgets and inventory
  • Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and peak service times
  • Successful completion of drug test and required health screenings
  • Compliance with applicable federal, state, and local vaccination laws

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum two years’ experience supervising kitchen and dining room operations in a full-service restaurant
  • Ability to recruit, coach, and manage kitchen and dining room staff performance
  • Volume cooking experience of at least two years
  • Current ServSafe certification
  • Proficiency in using production sheets, standardized recipes, temperature logs, and sanitation forms
  • Basic knowledge of nutrition and modified diets
  • Proven ability to manage food and labor budgets and meet targets
  • Proficient computer skills with ability to learn new applications
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings

Job Duties

  • Provide outstanding customer service and leadership for dining and hospitality operations
  • Manage food preparation and service following Sunrise culinary programs
  • Ensure accurate delivery of dietary modifications and portion control
  • Oversee procurement, inventory, and product rotation
  • Maintain compliance with food safety, sanitation, and local health regulations
  • Manage department budget including food, labor, and other expenses
  • Recruit, hire, train, and coach dining services team members
  • Conduct regular team meetings and training sessions
  • Ensure proper record keeping and documentation including production sheets and sanitation logs
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and wellness teams
  • Support and participate in special events and marketing efforts
  • Collaborate with maintenance for equipment repairs and preventative maintenance
  • Monitor compliance with occupational health and safety requirements
  • Perform other duties as assigned
