Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or high school diploma equivalency
- five years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- previous food service experience
- knowledge of food service operations including sanitation standards and food preparation
- knowledge of food service equipment such as steamers, slicers, and fryers
- knowledge of labor and food cost budgets and how to support them effectively
- knowledge of basic computer operations and software relevant to food service
- skill in communicating clearly and professionally with staff and customers
- ability to apply operational knowledge to maintain efficiency and safety in a food service environment
Job Duties
- Greets and serves guests courteously
- prepares orders accurately and efficiently while ensuring quality and consistency
- maintains proper staffing levels, delegates tasks, and fills in during breaks or shortages
- supports labor and food cost goals, assists with forecasting and cost summaries using FoodPro
- ensures the unit is clean, stocked, and organized, properly stores and rotates inventory
- trains and monitors staff performance, participates in student hiring, mentoring, and team building
- follows food safety, allergen, and sanitation guidelines, ensures compliance with operational standards
- oversees cashier accuracy and payment handling, completes shift reports, waste logs, and temperature logs
- communicates effectively with staff and supervisors, provides input on sales trends and actively resolves issues
- assists with weekly inventory and product ordering from vendors
