Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or high school diploma equivalency
  • five years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • must be able to work nights, holidays, weekends, and days

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or high school diploma equivalency
  • five years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • previous food service experience
  • knowledge of food service operations including sanitation standards and food preparation
  • knowledge of food service equipment such as steamers, slicers, and fryers
  • knowledge of labor and food cost budgets and how to support them effectively
  • knowledge of basic computer operations and software relevant to food service
  • skill in communicating clearly and professionally with staff and customers
  • ability to apply operational knowledge to maintain efficiency and safety in a food service environment

Job Duties

  • Greets and serves guests courteously
  • prepares orders accurately and efficiently while ensuring quality and consistency
  • maintains proper staffing levels, delegates tasks, and fills in during breaks or shortages
  • supports labor and food cost goals, assists with forecasting and cost summaries using FoodPro
  • ensures the unit is clean, stocked, and organized, properly stores and rotates inventory
  • trains and monitors staff performance, participates in student hiring, mentoring, and team building
  • follows food safety, allergen, and sanitation guidelines, ensures compliance with operational standards
  • oversees cashier accuracy and payment handling, completes shift reports, waste logs, and temperature logs
  • communicates effectively with staff and supervisors, provides input on sales trends and actively resolves issues
  • assists with weekly inventory and product ordering from vendors
