Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in dining services or hospitality management
  • Proven leadership experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage and motivate team members
  • Familiarity with dining operation standards
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to senior living dining services
  • Proficiency in scheduling and payroll budgeting
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends, evenings and holidays
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism

Job Duties

  • Create wait staff scheduling
  • Recommend changes to food products as necessary to enhance the dining experience and improve the company's profitability
  • Supervise the closure of the dining rooms at the end of dinner
  • Help maintain appropriate payroll budgeting
  • Assist in managing kitchen and dining staff to achieve customer service and financial goals of dining department
  • Help create a positive work environment in order to maintain low staff turnover
  • Assist in coordinating front and back of house staff to create a seamless flow
  • Be responsible for training and development of new wait staff
  • Provide appropriate coaching and counseling to employees so they can perform job duties effectively
  • Support the needs of the dining department
