- experience in food and beverage service
- knowledge of wine and cocktail service
- ability to handle cash and operate a POS system

- Experience providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment
- positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with bussers, cooks, and other staff
- able to perform high-quality work while unsupervised
- able to handle money accurately and operate a point-of-sale system
- high school diploma
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver orders in a timely manner
- fine dining experience
- wine knowledge
- cocktail service experience required
Job Duties
- Setup side station and perform assigned side prep work
- provide immediate attention to all members and guests upon seating
- distribute food and wine menus and answer questions
- fill glasses with ice water if local water conservation laws permit and suggest menu items
- take members’ and guests’ orders and suggestively sell food and beverage items if appropriate
- place orders with kitchen and inform cooks about special cooking instructions
- assemble food on tray and procure items from each station
- serve meals placing dishes by courses in front of each person
- check back to ensure member and guest satisfaction and replenish water and butter as necessary
- remove soiled dishes
- present dessert menu suggestions and serve dessert, coffee and after-dinner drinks
- verify accuracy of prices, taxes, tips and other charges on checks
- present the bill
- handle all cash and credit card charges as prescribed by standard operating procedures
- keep tables, dining room and bus station areas clean
- advise supervisor of any complaints
- perform clean-up and closing duties as assigned by manager
- attend pre-meal meetings as requested by dining room captain or manager
- turn in signed tip declaration form weekly
- thank members and guests and invite them to return
- consistently follow local and state laws and club policies for alcoholic beverage service
- perform other duties assigned by dining room or food and beverage manager
