Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in dining services preferred
- Ability to read and follow instructions
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks
- Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Willingness to comply with health and safety regulations
- Must be patient and tolerant
- Hepatitis A vaccine if working in St. Louis County
Job Qualifications
- Previous dining service experience is preferred
- Ability to read, understand, and follow recipe instructions, diet orders, resident preference cards, and work assignments
- Willingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks with frequent interruptions
- Must be patient and tolerant with staff, residents, and family members
- Must have or be willing to receive a Hepatitis A vaccine if working within St. Louis County in accordance with County health regulations
Job Duties
- Performs defined work routines using various dining service utensils, supplies, and equipment as assigned
- Assists with all aspects of dining service set-up in dining rooms and at catered events, including preparing beverages, salads, desserts, and other food items as instructed and in accordance with recipes
- Ensures all foods are served at proper temperatures and on time
- Assists with dining room set up including setting tables, stocking buffets, and serving residents
- Assists with all aspects of clean-up to ensure all dining service areas are maintained in accordance with policies and standards by completing daily cleaning duties, bussing tables, sweeping, mopping and vacuuming, washing dishes, removing trash, stocking and storing items correctly, and keeping all dining service work areas clean
- Assists in receiving and storing food and supplies
- Follows all safety procedures and protocols as mandated by EverTrue policy, federal and state regulations, and standard food handling practices and reports all hazardous conditions, defective equipment, and accidents or incidents to the supervisor immediately
- Maintains all necessary documentation including checking and recording food temperatures in HACCP logs, recording product usage and waste amounts, and recording any other information needed
- Follows infection control procedures, including proper hand washing, food storage, food disposal, and wearing protective clothing and equipment when handling waste and cleaning agents
