Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- Current Food Handler's Permit
- One year of food service experience preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to read and follow written instructions and safety guidelines
- Must be dependable and detail oriented
- Ability to work under limited supervision
- Capacity to handle multiple tasks
- Ability to remain calm in emergency situations
- Physical ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds
- Frequent stooping, bending, climbing, reaching, pulling/pushing, walking, and/or standing
- Ability to adhere to dress code and maintain a well-groomed appearance
- Adequate sight and hearing
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Current Food Handler's Permit
- Training in Servsafe is beneficial
- One year of food service experience preferred, including serving, waiting tables, cleaning, kitchen sanitation protocols, and basic food/meal preparation
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to read and understand written instructions and follow safety practices
- Cordial and congenial demeanor with residents
- Dependable, detail oriented, organized, and good follow-through
- Ability to work within standard policies and procedures with limited direct supervision
- Ability to handle a variety of tasks and functions
- Calm reaction in emergency situations
- Patience and compassion towards senior adults
- Consideration of resident's comfort, safety, security, and belongings

Job Duties
- Assist in food preparation, hospitality duties, and meal service, including serving food, waiting tables, and bussing tables
- Serve breakfast, lunch and dinner meals to residents, guests, and staff in the Dining Room or Bistro
- Bus and reset tables as needed
- Prepare salad bar items for lunch, including filling salad bar with ice and setting for service
- Gather plates and bowls for salad bar and soup kettles
- Prepare and stage desserts
- Perform light food preparation for special events
- Assist in setting up meetings and special events, including delivery of snacks, coffee, tea, and refreshments
- Follow all sanitation guidelines, federal and state regulations, and senior living and healthcare requirements
- Maintain cleanliness of prep items
- Follow cleaning schedules and perform cleaning duties as scheduled or needed
- Open and close dining rooms as necessary
