Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 0-2 years of previous experience preferred
- Applicable state/county licensure preferred
- CPR or BLS certification preferred
- Ability to demonstrate proficiency in internet browsers and Microsoft Office programs
- Ability to operate electronic health records and HR related systems
- Physical ability to meet the demands of the job including lifting and moving heavy items
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work well in a team and follow directions
- Willingness to engage in conflict intervention and resolution
- Ability to maintain safety and infection control standards
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 0-2 years of previous experience preferred
- Applicable state/county licensure preferred
- CPR or BLS certification preferred
- Proficiency in internet browsers such as Explorer, Chrome, Fire Fox
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Excel, Word, Publisher
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and HR related systems if applicable
Job Duties
- Supporting all catering, room service, special party needs, marketing functions
- Taking drink and food orders, serving residents and guests professionally and efficiently
- Maintaining a clean work area by washing all pots, pans and utensils
- Clearing, sanitizing, and setting tables
- removing garbage and cleaning trash containers
- Completing daily cleaning and maintenance checklists for kitchen and dining areas
- Assisting in cleaning work areas, dining room floors, tables, and chairs after meals and special events
- sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping floors
- Possessing working knowledge of individual assignments and resident dining needs
- Assisting in controlling food costs
- Reading and following recipe books and labels
- Safely operating and cleaning all kitchen equipment and utensils
- Understanding dining menus and communicating effectively to residents
- Ensuring table settings meet Cedarhurst dining standards
- Remaining up to date with all food safety licensing requirements and guidelines
- Maintaining safety standards for infection control
- Utilizing basic math concepts for practical situations
- Ensuring effective communication with residents' families concerning care
- Working well with others and taking direction, engaging in conflict intervention and resolution
- Meeting physical demands including standing, moving, lifting up to 50 pounds independently and 200 pounds with assistance
- Other duties as assigned
