Job Requirements
- high school diploma
- current food handler's permit
- one year of food service experience preferred
- ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing
- ability to follow written instructions
- ability to work within standard policy and procedures with limited direct supervision
- ability to react calmly in emergency situations
- physically able to lift or carry up to 50 pounds
- able to perform frequent stooping bending climbing reaching pulling pushing and standing for long periods
- adequate sight and hearing to perform duties
- maintain a well-groomed appearance compliant with dress code and kitchen uniform requirements
- adherence to sanitation guidelines and food safety standards
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma
- current food handler's permit
- training in servsafe is beneficial
- one year of food service experience preferred including serving/waiting tables cleaning and kitchen sanitation protocols and basic food/meal prep
- effective verbal and written communication skills in English
- ability to read and understand written instructions

Job Duties
- assist in food preparation, hospitality duties, and meal service including serving food waiting tables and bussing tables
- serve breakfast, lunch and dinner meals to residents guests and staff in the dining room or bistro
- bus and reset tables as needed
- prepare salad bar items for lunch fill salad bar with ice and set for service including gathering plates and bowls as necessary for salad bar and soup kettles
- prepare and stage desserts
- perform light food prep for special events
- assist in setting up meetings or other special events including delivery of snacks coffee tea etc
- follow all sanitation guidelines federal and state regulations and senior living healthcare requirements
- maintain cleanliness of prep items
- follow cleaning schedules and perform cleaning duties as scheduled and/or needed
- open and close dining rooms as needed
