Job Requirements

  • High school graduate or GED
  • Experience supervising a staff of 15 or more employees
  • Demonstrated experience in food preparation and managing the front of house
  • Experience in volume food production within a commercial kitchen
  • Knowledge of state food-handling and kitchen regulations
  • Ability to operate kitchen appliances such as dishwasher, garbage disposal, microwave, coffee maker, ice machine, blender, food processor, meat slicer, mixer, and office equipment such as FAX copier and telephone

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate or GED
  • Demonstrated experience in food preparation and managing the front of house
  • Experience supervising a staff of 15 or more employees
  • Knowledge of state food-handling and kitchen regulations
  • Ability to operate kitchen appliances and office equipment
  • Promote teamwork in providing services to residents
  • Certificate or degree in food service is preferred
  • Enjoyment in working with older adults

Job Duties

  • Supervise and coordinate activities of dining room personnel to provide fast and courteous service to residents
  • Schedule dining reservations and arrange parties or special services for diners
  • Greet guests, escort them to tables and provide menus
  • Address and solve complaints of residents, while providing exceptional customer service
  • Oversee dining room server duties, while expediting drink and food orders in a timely fashion
  • Assign work tasks and coordinate activities of dining room personnel to ensure prompt and courteous service
  • Inspect dining room serving stations for neatness and cleanliness
