Job Duties

  • Assists in maintaining proper staffing levels and assignments of dining staff
  • Supports in the onboarding, orientation and training of dining staff
  • Coordinates with nursing team, dietician, and kitchen staff regarding changes in therapeutic diets, meal choices and meal pack
  • Participates in the planning, scheduling, set-up and clean-up of special events and functions
  • Communicates across disciplines to ensure high service standards are met
  • Performs Host/Hostess duties
  • Addresses resident concerns and complaints with Dining Room Manager and Director of Dining Services and assists with providing resolution
  • Follows and promotes adherence to health, safety and sanitation regulations
  • Assists with department's quality assurance
  • Applies "5 Star" customer service approach to all aspects of job
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and standards of conduct
  • Reports to appropriate managers any suspected violations of policies and procedures
  • Attends required in-services and training
  • Performs additional duties as assigned
