Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in food service or healthcare dietary preferred
- ability to communicate effectively and clearly
- physical ability to perform duties including standing and walking for extended periods
- knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- availability for flexible scheduling including weekends and holidays
- ability to learn and remember resident dietary needs and preferences
Job Qualifications
- Demonstration of our core values: love, kindness, honesty, goodness, fairness, respect
- previous experience in the dietary department of a health care facility or restaurant preferred but not required
- ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- knowledge of and ability to meet regulations of ADA, state, infection control, health department and OSHA
Job Duties
- Be present in dining room for full meal service
- assist special functions as scheduled
- maintain high cleanliness, hygiene, and a sanitary and infection free environment at all times
- oversight of bistro areas as directed - food presentation, cleanliness, stock supplies, beverages, make popcorn, etc
- know the specials of the day and how they are prepared and presented
- learn individual resident names, dietary needs, requests, likes and dislikes
- must serve hot food hot and cold food cold
- as directed, participate in the Quality Assurance Committee
- sanitize tables and chairs, reset tables, and vacuum floor after each meal
- attend all trainings, orientation, and mandatory meetings
