Job Requirements

  • previous experience in dietary department of a health care facility or restaurant preferred but not required
  • ability to read, write, speak and understand English
  • knowledge of and ability to meet regulations of ADA, state, infection control, health department, and OSHA
  • willingness to work flexible schedule including weekends
  • ability to stand for extended periods during shifts

Job Duties

  • be present in dining room for full meal service
  • assist special functions as scheduled
  • maintain high cleanliness, hygiene, and a sanitary and infection free environment at all times
  • oversight of bistro areas as directed - food presentation, cleanliness, stock supplies, beverages, make popcorn, etc.
  • know the specials of the day and how they are prepared and presented
  • learn individual resident names, dietary needs, requests, likes and dislikes
  • must serve hot food hot and cold food cold
  • as directed, participate in the Quality Assurance Committee
  • sanitize tables and chairs, reset tables, and vacuum floor after each meal
  • attend all trainings, orientation, and mandatory meetings
