Job Requirements
- Have at least a high school diploma or GED
- minimum three months previous experience waiting tables preferred
- must stand and walk for 100% of the workday
- able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs independently
- able to push and pull bus carts weighing up to 50 lbs independently
- must follow all sanitary guidelines and health regulations
- must conduct self professionally and respectfully
- must arrive in proper uniform
- must cover shifts if unable to work scheduled time
- must call in two hours prior to shift in emergencies
- must provide doctor's note if calling in sick without coverage
- answer Skylight order phone when ringing
- set up, serve, and break down assigned caterings
- no gossiping in workplace
Job Qualifications
- At least a high school diploma or GED preferred
- minimum of three months previous experience waiting tables in hotel, restaurant, or club, fine dining preferred
- effective oral and written communication skills
- ability to work cooperatively with residents, guests, coworkers, and supervisors
- empathy for elderly
- ability to interpret and explain menu and coordinate meal service
- willingness to learn and attend training sessions
- able to stand and walk for entire shift
- able to lift up to 20 lbs and push/pull carts up to 50 lbs independently
- knowledge of sanitary guidelines and health regulations
Job Duties
- Set tables and maintain workstations in proper order
- take orders and provide service courteously
- clear dishes during and after meal service
- answer questions about menu items
- assist with dish washing and distribution if needed
- maintain high level of customer service for residents and guests
- advise Restaurant Manager on dining room status
- set up and clean up catering events
- complete assigned cleaning tasks
- maintain safe and sanitary conditions
- attend in-service training
- perform specific duties as assigned by supervisor
- greet residents and guests warmly
- treat everyone with respect
- anticipate needs and respond timely
- hold oneself and others accountable
- maintain professionalism in conduct and appearance
- pay attention to details
