Job Requirements
- Have at least a high school diploma or GED
- Have a minimum of three months previous experience waiting tables in a hotel, restaurant, or club with fine dining preferred
- Ability to stand and walk for 100 percent of the workday
- Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs independently
- Ability to push and pull bus carts weighing up to 50 lbs independently
- Must follow all sanitary guidelines and health regulations
- Must adhere to Carillon policies including HIPAA
- Must have effective oral and written communication skills
- Must complete all assigned tasks and duties professionally and timely
- Must maintain a positive attitude and professional conduct at all times
Job Qualifications
- Have at least a high school diploma or GED

- Ability to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisors, and peers
- Empathy for the elderly
- Ability to interpret and explain menu, refer or answer questions, coordinate meal service process, and understand requests
Job Duties
- Sets tables and maintains workstations in proper order
- Takes orders, provides service and requested items both graciously and courteously
- Clears dishes from tables during and after meal service
- Answers pertinent questions about menu items
- Assists with dishwashing and distribution of clean dishes, if needed
- Assists in maintaining a high level of customer service for residents and their guests
- Advises the Restaurant Manager regarding dining room status
- Sets up all catering events and cleans up after all catering events
- Completes all assigned cleaning tasks
- Maintains safe and sanitary conditions in work areas
- Attends in-service training and education sessions as assigned
- Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor
