Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in waiting tables preferred
- ability to stand and walk throughout shift
- ability to lift up to 20 pounds
- ability to push and pull bus carts up to 50 pounds
- adherence to sanitary and health regulations
- effective communication skills
- ability to follow management instructions promptly
- availability to cover shifts if unable to work
- professional conduct at all times
- responsibility for answering order phone
- compliance with HIPAA policies
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- minimum of three months experience waiting tables in hotel, restaurant, or club (fine dining preferred)
- ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- empathy and ability to work cooperatively with elderly residents and guests
- knowledge of menu items and meal service coordination
- positive attitude and professionalism in conduct and appearance
Job Duties
- Sets tables and maintains workstations in proper order
- takes orders and provides service courteously
- clears dishes during and after meals
- answers questions about menu items
- assists with dishwashing and distributing clean dishes
- maintains a high level of customer service for residents and guests
- sets up, serves, and breaks down catering events
