Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in waiting tables preferred
  • ability to stand and walk throughout shift
  • ability to lift up to 20 pounds
  • ability to push and pull bus carts up to 50 pounds
  • adherence to sanitary and health regulations
  • effective communication skills
  • ability to follow management instructions promptly
  • availability to cover shifts if unable to work
  • professional conduct at all times
  • responsibility for answering order phone
  • compliance with HIPAA policies

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • minimum of three months experience waiting tables in hotel, restaurant, or club (fine dining preferred)
  • ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • empathy and ability to work cooperatively with elderly residents and guests
  • knowledge of menu items and meal service coordination
  • positive attitude and professionalism in conduct and appearance

Job Duties

  • Sets tables and maintains workstations in proper order
  • takes orders and provides service courteously
  • clears dishes during and after meals
  • answers questions about menu items
  • assists with dishwashing and distributing clean dishes
  • maintains a high level of customer service for residents and guests
  • sets up, serves, and breaks down catering events
