Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience in food and beverage service preferably in upscale environments
- Comfortable working long hours on feet in a dynamic team setting
- Minimum age of 18 years
- Valid Fayette County Food Handler License must be obtained prior to first scheduled shift
- Kentucky Horse Racing Commission license will be provided upon hire
- Flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and early mornings during live events
Job Qualifications
- Experience in high-end or fine dining restaurant service is valued
- Demonstrated commitment to excellence in customer service and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, multitasking ability, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to maintain calm and composure during busy periods while providing friendly service
- Food handling certification and alcoholic beverage service training (or willingness to obtain)
- Flexible availability including weekends, holidays, and early mornings during live horse races and special events
Job Duties
- Provide exceptional table service with warmth, professionalism, and efficiency according to Keeneland standards
- Greet and connect with guests with genuine hospitality, maintaining a refined and positive attitude throughout their experience
- Offer expert recommendations on food and beverage pairings
- Accurately take food and beverage orders, enter them into the POS system, and coordinate smoothly with kitchen and bar teams
- Ensure timely delivery and proper presentation of all menu items
- Anticipate and promptly respond to guests' needs and preferences
- Maintain knowledge of the menu, Keeneland history, and the ability to guide guests through service procedures
- Keep dining areas clean and orderly before, during, and after service
- Strictly comply with all health, safety, and hygiene standards, including responsible alcoholic beverage service
- Foster Keeneland's culture by promoting a spirit of collaboration, respect, and high standards among teammates
