Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university or equivalent related work-related experience and/or training
  • Prior food and beverage management experience and sommelier preferred
  • Prefer 3+ years of supervisory skills and hotel/resort food and beverage operations experience
  • Must have strong organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks with ease
  • Computer skills required
  • Strong guest and team member relations skills
  • Must maintain current Serv Safe Manager certification and Certificate of Management Liquor Law

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience and training
  • Prior food and beverage management experience
  • Sommelier certification preferred
  • At least 3 years of supervisory experience
  • Experience in hotel or resort F&B operations
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Strong guest and team member relations skills
  • Current Serv Safe Manager certification
  • Certificate of Management Liquor Law

Job Duties

  • Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local food and beverage laws
  • Follow all club policies, procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Ensure development and adherence to standard operating procedures in F&B including product, service, alcohol awareness, and food safety
  • Manage, motivate, and lead the F&B staff
  • Assist with hiring, training, evaluation, disciplining, and supervision of F&B staff
  • Maintain good working relationships within F&B and other departments
  • Handle all reservations efficiently and effectively
  • Maintain professional relationships with members and guests ensuring satisfaction
  • Ensure smooth and efficient flow of product between front and back of house
  • Ensure POS functionality and staff training on its use and upgrades
  • Purchase and control costs of beverages and supplies
  • Maintain inventory of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
  • Act as server when designated
  • Implement work schedules according to business needs and budget
  • Communicate with other departments and members about upcoming events
  • Ensure cleanliness and neat appearance of the dining room
  • Create, update, and distribute function sheets
  • Conduct site inspections and tours
  • Maintain adherence to liquor, fire, and safety regulations
  • Participate in training seminars and personal evaluations
  • Perform other responsibilities as directed by the General Manager
