Job Requirements
- Hospitality and/or Culinary degree preferred
- Minimum 10 years experience in food and beverage roles
- Minimum 5 years management or supervisory experience
- Proven management experience in multi-venue food service operations
- Knowledge of local and national health regulations
- Experience with catering and banquet services
- Ability to manage P and L responsibilities
- TIPS Certification or ability to obtain
- ServSafe Certification or ability to obtain
Job Qualifications
- Hospitality and/or Culinary degree from top institution preferred
- Minimum 10 years experience in progressive Food and Beverage roles with at least 5 years management or supervisory experience
- Proven experience managing multiple concepts and venues
- Experience operating and leading successful food and beverage concepts for large upscale continuing care retirement communities multi-unit restaurant chains resorts or hotels
- Experience working with local regional and national vendors
- Thorough knowledge of federal state and local health regulations including Board of Health and Department of Public Health
- Experience with catering and banquet service and production
- Prior work with promotions marketing and branding
- P and L responsibilities including budgeting forecasting accounting and management expertise related to food and beverage management
- TIPS Certification current or ability to achieve within 3 months
- ServSafe Certification current or ability to achieve within 3 months
Job Duties
- Develop and maintain genuine hospitality concept advancing service ability to provide gracious educated and proficient service
- Derive service styles and standards in concert with Farm to Table evolution integrating use of local product
- Support and lead the evolution of dining services concept on a continual basis to maintain fresh diverse multicultural dynamic new program
- Consistently provide supportive respectful resident focused nurtured and safe service product and environment
- Manage multi-dimensional food service environment with upscale casual and quick service concepts medically directed meals catering banquet production team member dining campus wide outdoor events meal replacement grab and go packaged foods
- Ensure all requirements of Department of Public Health and Food Handling Regulations are achieved consistently
- Work individually with residents and/or dieticians to create meal programs accommodating dietary needs and restrictions
- Work with Executive Chef to define and refine service concepts per venue and coordinate training to uphold hospitality standards
- Direct supervision of Culinary Service Team support staff and assist Chef and Sous Chef in oversight
- Control food and beverage supplies by meeting with sales representatives proactive price analysis managing fluctuations
- Maintain safe secure legal and healthy work environment following and enforcing sanitation and food and beverage quality standards and procedures
