Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One to two years of experience in a related food service role
- Ability to operate a computer
- Availability to work evenings and weekends
- Ability to calculate simple mathematical equations
- Ability to interpret menus and recipes
- Supervisory experience preferred

Job Duties
- Direct activities, provides guidance and assists staff performing food service duties
- Performs Host duties including seating residents
- Works in the Bistro and handles cash when necessary
- Collects resident food orders and deliver food directly to residents
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages
- Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, pots, pans and or silverware by hand washing or using the dishwasher
- Store food in designated containers and storage areas to prevent spoilage
- Carry food supplies, equipment and utensils to and from storage and work areas
- Remove trash and clean kitchen garbage containers
- Scrape leftovers from dishes into garbage containers
- Sweep and mop the kitchen and dining room floor
- Ensure Dining Services Assistants are completing assigned closing checklists
- Ensure Dining Services Assistants are bussing their tables in a timely manor
- Collects comment cards
- Resolve customer complaints regarding food service
- Inform Director of Dining Services of any equipment and supply needs, repair/maintenance needs, safety hazards, and any unusual occurrences or observations
- Attend and participate in all appropriate meetings and training opportunities in order to keep informed on current information and skill development
- Follow established policies and procedures including but not limited to: Presbyterian Villages policies and procedures, Safety policies and procedures, Federal, state and local regulations
- All other duties as assigned
